Meet Ben Hamburger a friend of mine from back home who is currently a senior at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. In this series of paintings he illustrates how the media impacts society.

This first painting of the series is a cathartic theory,stating that media violence influences real life violence but does not trigger it.


The hypodermic needle theory is saying that messages in media are directly injected into our minds with out our discretion.


Last of the series is the desensitizing theory saying that we are desensitized to real life violence because of the media
